All programs and applications run slowly

Once again malware can be the main culprit for computer responsiveness issues. First run a scan for malware. Next, check your hard drive for free space. Computers slow down as the hard drive runs out of space. You can defragment traditional SATA hard drives using Disk Defragmenter included in all versions of Microsoft Windows operating systems. You can also try a free tool like Ccleaner to create free space, clear temporary files and malicious registry entries.
